From Lungotevere you have a magnificent sight of the Basilica di San Paolo (5 minutes by walking distant) and we are near business area EUR and very close to the University ROMA TRE What else? You can arrive to the ancient port of Rome (Ostia) in about half an our. Instead, if you want discover treasures close Petrapapae don't forget that by walking you can reach the Museo Centrale Montemartini, where industrial archeological and classics master-piece share the renewed space of ancient Thermoelectric Central. Easily to reach, starting from Petrapapae, the neighborhood Testaccio: the nightlife in a popular area, the Contemporany Art Museum MACRO.
Enclosed between Testaccio and Ostiense neighborhood the intimate and suggestive Protestant Cemetery where are the graves of Keats, Shelley, Gramsci, Gadda.

Take a walk

Walking on Lungotevere di Pietra Papa you are attract from the skyline of archelogical industrial sites with Gazometro on the river side Ostiense, the Basilica di San Paolo with her golden facade, the ancient factory of Porto Fluviale and those of Fabbrica Miralanza too. Still continuing towards Ponte dell'Industria you arrive to Teatro India. Cross the Industry Bridge (aka Ponte de fero, Romans says) you enter in Stret art area of Porto Fluviale-Ostiense where the whole neighborhood is home to some of the most beautiful works of street art by italian and international artists.

TouriSport

If you like biking, the cycling path on Lungotevere, just in front of the Petrapapae, allow you to see the historic Rome along the Tevere river reaching the Isola Tiberina in 10 minutes. Do you need a bike? No problem.
You can find a bicycle available in the area using UBER JUMP APP .
To around hundred meters from Petrapapae, on the right horse-riding equestrian center; on the left sporting center with swimming pool and tennis court.

Frescoes

Guests entering to Petrapapae have their welcome with frescoes found at Lungotevere. You can see the original of little print copy to Museo Romano. Strongly recommended.

Curiosity

The origin of street name is due to ancient name of Petra Papae (area owned by Papa or Papareschi family). p> The name is found since year 968 with various transformations: Prata Papi, Petra Papa, and finally Petra Papae.
